The Snatch 2 continues our revolutionary toroidal arc PC concept with improved shaping for even greater stability, faster inflation, lighter weight, better durability, and the same proven drag force. It is the most technically advanced design in BASE and is the most efficient, stable, and precisely-built PC in the world. HISTORY

Since the release of the original Snatch in 2013 it has become known as the most stable and efficient PC, ever. Simply put, it changed the game.

WHATS NEW

  • No webbing: new seam with Dyneema thread is stronger & lighter
  • Individually cut mesh panels, oriented for uniform tension and improved symmetry under load
  • Finely tuned panel shaping and skirt curvature improve overall behavior with the same bomber snatch force.
  • The 42" size mesh panel shaping and skirt depth has been redesigned for more rapid inflation - with subtle reinforcements for durability.

PROVEN STABILITY & PERFORMANCE

Per square millimeter, the Snatch 2 pulls with far more stability than a traditional PC. Wind tunnel and field testing have proven superior stability in all BASE applications, from low slider-down to wingsuit and tracking deployments.

WEIGHT & BALANCE, AND MATERIALS

We're thankful that the Snatch not only revolutionized BASE PCs, but it also killed the use of heavy PC handles. A lighter PC is less likely to entangle with the bridle: it inflates faster and tumbles less. The hexagonal carbon-fiber handle design provides a distinct easy-to-feel shape with minimum weight.

QUALITY AND PRECISION

Removing radial tape results in improved symmetry. The individually cut mesh gores allow us to orient the mesh along the most stable axis, for improved symmetry and performance under load. Each Snatch 2 is guaranteed to be symmetric, and is built to +/- 1mm tolerances.

OPEN SOURCE

When we released the original Snatch in 2013 we fully believed in the concept. We knew that the benefits of the design would improve BASE safety and we made the Snatch patterns available for free to all. We will continue to provide the original Snatch CAD patterns for free.
