The Omicron is a hybrid-sail 7-cell ultra-low-bulk parachute for wingsuit skydiving. Think of it as a turbo-charged Epicene Pro designed for experienced wingsuiters. It is not just a material change: A new profile and improved panel shaping combine with a hybrid-sail top surface to deliver incredible flare, speed, and glide in a canopy that opens comfortably with all wingsuit types.
What it is...
The Omicron is a hybrid-sail 7-cell ultra-low-bulk parachute for wingsuit skydiving. Think of it as a turbo-charged Epicene Pro designed for experienced wingsuiters. It is not just a material change: A new profile and improved panel shaping combine with a hybrid-sail top surface to deliver incredible flare, speed, and glide in a canopy that opens comfortably with all wingsuit types.
What you'll notice:
Front riser pressure is comfortably low, and it responds well to rear-riser input during landing approaches (we could say swoops, but... you know). It packs very low volume, similar to the Epicene, but it will take you 45 seconds longer to pack. The openings are 90% as reliable as the Epicene series. Everything else is impressively different -- our team pilots love the flare, speed, and glide of this canopy.
Omicron or Epicene Pro?
The Epicene Pro remains the safest and most docile parachute we have ever used for wingsuit skydiving. If your highest priority is reliable, gentle wingsuit openings, then the Epicene Pro is recommended. Experienced skydivers who seek a higher performance and more durable wingsuit main should consider the Omicron.
