CRUX 3R
THE DO-EVERYTHING 3-RING SYSTEM

*The CRUX 3R is an Asylum/Squirrel collaboration, and replaces the kN in our range.

The CRUX’s versatility is now available in a 3-Ring version, using the same modern harness materials, construction, and geometry. It is engineered primarily for slider-off applications and is suitable for jumpers of all skill levels and experience.

The CRUX 3R delivers modern harness geometry, custom forged aluminum plate buckles, pin protection that is low-freefall to wingsuit-appropriate, and our proprietary Dyneema blend webbing. All available options are included in the price, so there is nothing to add.

  • Mid-Long Container for Easy BOC Access
  • 7000 lb Dyneema Blend Webbing
  • Next-Gen Bartack Construction
  • Custom Forged Plate Buckles
  • Wingsuitable Pin Protection
  • Cable-Key 3-Ring Risers

DETAILS

INTEGRATED RAPPEL LOOPS

Rappel loops are integrated into the harness at the hip area. Use your own slings or add the SQRL designed rap slings to your order.

defaultImage

BRIDLE CHANNEL

A bridle protection channel hides your bridle completely, putting your busy mind at ease... at least about that little detail.

defaultImage

DYNAMIC CORNERS / BOC

We've redesigned the dynamic corners for a a more thorough closure. The CRUX 3R opens into a perfectly flat tray once the pins are released and the bottom corners close easily.

PIN PROTECTION

Integrated riser cover / side flaps prevent flap-edge exposure. The CRUX 3R pin cover flap is designed with versatility across all BASE applications in mind. It is smooth and aerodynamic for wingsuit and tracking use while also being slider-down friendly.

defaultImage

LOW PIN-LOCK TENDENCY

All of our containers are designed to mitigate the dangers of acute bridle angle deployments. The pin flap protects your bridle from airflow while still allowing immediate release during a head-high or otherwise unstable deployment.

defaultImage

SMART HARNESS CONSTRUCTION

The CRUX 3R system is designed to provide >22kN resistance at any conceivable angle during deployment. CNC bartacks offer a high level of precision and consistency. The CAD-designed patterns are chosen specifically for each segment of the harness, in accordance with the applicable force and direction. We use CWH stainless hardware for the 3-Ring assembly.

CUSTOM PLATE BUCKLES

Our custom forged aluminum frame buckles can be attached and released without passing your leg through the loop, a useful option for gearing up on precarious exit points, or while on rappel. If you prefer to pass your legs through closed loops, this is also possible – just leave the buckles mated together.

defaultImage

TAPERED LATERALS

This tapered cover allows a slightly longer container design, without the creation of an exposed corner, making it a bit friendlier for BASE aerials.

defaultImage

DYNEEMA WEBBING

Our blended Dyneema webbing is a traditional width (similar to type-8) but is significantly stronger and lighter than type-8. It is tested to a 7000 lb (31 kN) breaking strength. The white face is Dyneema, woven together with Polyester (black) for structure and durability.

defaultImage

PRETTY STRONG RISERS

The C3R risers have been load tested to >20kN, which exceeds industry norms. The optional Cable-key feature helps to prevent accidental release.

GRAB A STIFFIE

The standard C3R brake toggles are big, stiff, and a pleasure to grab. We know you wouldn’t have it any other way.

CRUX 3R REVIEW

"Need to cutaway a cop-in-tow?

The new Crux 3R!

After seeing 3-rings save a life and having been hooked up on a moving truck in the middle of the night I'm a fan of having a cutaway option.

The Crux 3R has an optional cable key which disables the 3rings if you are not jumping around water/heavy traffic or for all you kooks who can't maintain their shit

The stashbag pocket is back! So no more looking like a beer gutted FJC student!!

Container is longer then standard for use with wings, but still has no bridal snag points.

So far the best thing about this rig is the leg straps open out fully! (Finally), so you don't have to hop around on one leg gearing up on slippery cliff ledges.

If you jump urban or near fast flowing water, don't sacrifice your safety for a trivial weight saving. (about a mars bar worth of extra weight you pussies)

Also, for the new-school sewn-in lads, we tested three hooknifes and could not find one which stayed sharp enough to cut all 4 softlinks (if that was your plan)

Make good choices, don't fucking die xoxo"
