Chris Byrnes is 2020 Australian Champ

Our friend Chris Byrnes has won gold at the Australian Nationals for the second time in row, flying his CR+. Luke Rogers joined him on the podium to take home the bronze. Three of the top four and eight of the top ten pilots flew SQRL. Also of note, Guillaume Cornet took first in the intermediate category flying his Swift 3 (in his first year of wingsuit flying!) and Peter Kerr set two Australian records in the intermediate category flying his ATC (speed & distance).

In Chris’s words:

“I had a blast at the Australian Skydiving Nationals. Super stoked with back to back Gold. Myself and Luke Rogers (bronze) were flying the CR+, always happy with it's all-round performance. Squirrel wingsuits have won Gold every year in performance at the Australian Nationals going back to 2015. Luke and I are both looking forward to representing Australia and flying the CR+ at the World Championships in Russia later this year.”
