FEATURES
FORCE FEED
The majority of power in a tracking suit comes from the pants, and the SUMO benefits from an array of mylar-fed inlets which rapidly inflate and maintain pressure inside the suit.
QUICK STARTS
The SUMO's oversized arm inlets provide immediate control after exit. Upper arm inlets allow early inflow after exit, and the shoulder inlets maintain pressure in flight, through all angles of attack.
NO-WOBBLE
Inside the pants at the knee, we have added a Velcro enclosure which anchors the pants to your leg, reducing pant-leg wobble and increasing control and performance. This is one of the most crucial features of the SUMO, giving the pants a more precise and solid feel when maneuvering in high speed tracks.
AIR-TIGHT
The high collar, cinched wrist, and extra-long torso help to reduce leakage and maintain pressure in the jacket.
PLENTY-POCKETS
Four zipped chest pockets provide plenty of phone / emergency electronics / gear storage, and the jacket is lined with airmesh and lycra/fleece for comfort and structure.
REINFORCED
The knees are heavily reinforced with Cordura, with 5mm of closed cell foam padding for protection and structure.
TOE-TENSION
To maximize fit performance, three toe-tension settings are available, using a lightweight and simple buckle/strap adjustment.
ZIPS
Highly durable and custom colored 10C YKK zips run up both legs.
DETAILS
Our mission for this tracking suit was to find the ideal balance between volume and stability, with an emphasis on solid internal pressure and quick inflation. The SUMO has performance that is comparable to one-piece tracking suits, with the comfort and ease of use that is inherent in a simpler 2-piece system. The No-Wobble system secures the pants to your knee area, helping to prevent excess movement in the pants while tracking. This unique feature gives a compact and precise feel in the track, and is very simple to use. It is also optional - the pants can be flown with or without the Velcro fastened.
The overall suit volume is balanced, with a slight taper from waist to ankle for ease of handling. The SUMO provides quick starts and excellent forward speed, with simple and intuitive control.

Please remember that as with all BASE jumping equipment, it is extremely important to skydive the SUMO extensively before attempting to use it for BASE jumping.

"I love my Sumo 2. The suit is powerful and inflates quickly. It is easy to fly. I fly it in the Sky, BASE and tunnel arenas. It is also free-fly friendly. Head down is smooth and slow speed. Head up takes some more practice. Over the head transitions are smooth. Over the feet transitions take a bit more commitment because of the balance of the suit.
Tracking in it is amazing. As soon as you hit terminal it takes off like a sling shot. It likes to fly steep and fast in an angle flying position for maximum forward drive. At the exit point it gives me the confidence to know that I will be pulling far clear of any obstacles. I have no problem throwing an invert from Exit 6 and still pull over the water with this beast. I recommend it to anyone."

"I’ve been flying the Sumo for a about a month now and am continually impressed. For everything BASE my priorities are safety and ease of use, and the Sumo is all that and then some. I’ve flown several Tracking suits (both one and two piece) over the last few years and I can safely say that the Sumo wins hands down for stability, pressurization and pilot interaction, and doesn’t compromise an inch of performance to achieve it. In fact the more I learn about the inputs it needs from me, the more personal bests I keep surpassing.
I was a little nervous taking out of the plane for the first time. Not only was I un-current in a Tracking suit, I was also an un-current skydiver. But within the first 10 seconds of flight I knew I would be comfortable flying it from a cliff (after years of prior training and experience of course!). Such massive levels of rock solid stability were previously unseen in any of the Tracking suits I’d flown and this gave me the confidence in control that I require to happily BASE anything.
In the Base environment I’ve found it a perfect tool. Quick inflation provides opportunity for quick starts and in the right hands with the right technique I believe it can take you further than any other two-piece on the market, and will do it more comfortably and safely.
Of course as with any tracking suit, the pilot is still everything. A bad pilot will fall like a brick and a good one will fly like they were born to it. As such I much strongly remind everyone that a vast amount of prior experience in the BASE tracking environment or a significant amount of skydiving in the Sumo must be considered before taking it of a cliff. But with those things considered it would be a great first suit, if not the best first suit currently on the market for either environment."
