COLUGO 2
BIG SUIT PERFORMANCE, LITTLE SUIT HANDLING...

*The C2 will be replaced soon. For that reason, we are not accepting orders for this suit.

The Colugo 2 has the highest ratio of comfort to performance that we have ever felt in a wingsuit. No other suit delivers so much speed and power with such ease of use – every pilot who has experienced this suit so far has said the same thing to us: It feels and flies like a little suit, but the speed and performance is equal to the most advanced suits out there.

The release of the C2 was delayed until after the RedBull Aces event, where new technology in this exciting suit made its debut and was tested by Squirrel team pilots. Andy Farrington took first place flying a prototype that included key innovations present in this new design, including leading edge mini-ribs and a new hybrid leading edge construction.

The new Colugo 2 is significantly smaller in surface area than its predecessor. It features a new arm wing profile and leg wing design, new planform, and a new type of Dacron coated leading edge construction, with a flexible segment at the wrist.

We are very excited about this new suit and the delay in releasing it is a direct result of us having a bit too much fun with the testing, and wanting to push the progress as far as possible before releasing it. The core mission for the Colugo 2 is to provide a fast and agile suit for advanced-intermediate to expert pilots.

The Colugo 2 is now in production and available for order. Please scroll down for more information.

DETAILS

The Colugo 2 is smaller in surface than the original Colugo, with a slightly more swept arm wing design. These two differences are balanced by a more efficient profile and leading edge. The C2 starts quickly in the BASE environment and is an ideal choice for experienced wingsuit BASE jumpers. For the most serious and most technical exit points, the AURA remains the best in the business.

GLIDE

The Colugo 2 is, in general, a higher performance suit than its predecessor. Trim speed is higher than the original Colugo, and the glide range at trim speed is also improved. In short, the C2 flies further, faster. The glide performance of the C2 makes it an ideal choice for glide-performance BASE jumps and big-suit flocks in the skydive environment.

HANDLING

The C2 is significantly more agile than its predecessor. A thinner profile and more efficient leading edge make for enhanced carves, more highly banked turns, and less drift in all maneuvers. The C2's agility was well proven in the RedBull Aces event, where several Squirrel Team Pilots won their heats after only a few practice jumps on the suit.

SPEED

Airspeed is a direct result of wingloading and drag. The C2 has reduced surface area, and reduced drag, compared to the original Colugo. The resulting increase in wingloading, coupled with the drag reduction inherent in the redesigned arm and leg wings, has vastly increased the speed of the C2. In competition, this suit has proven to be as fast or faster than any wingsuit design in existence.

THE PULL

No amount of performance is worth a compromise in safety. The C2's leading edge is more efficient than the original, yet we wanted to retain as much comfort and ease of use as possible. The Glideskin section at the wrist makes the pull cleaner and more comfortable than other similar suits in this class.

THE DESIGN

The C2 was designed to fly a steep slalom course, yet also start quickly in the BASE environment and have increased range over other similar suits. C2 pilots will notice that although the planform makes for great performance at steeper angles, it is also possible to out-float other similar suits when needed.

THE PILOT

Experienced wingsuit flyers with several seasons of experience should be able to adapt to the Colugo 2 almost immediately. Respecting the learning curve is essential, but the payoff is a suit with an incredible amount of inherent performance.

SKYDIVING

The C2 is a fast and agile mid-to-large size wingsuit that will flock or dive steep with any other suit out there. If you like to go fast and carve high-G turns with your friends, then the C2 will not disappoint.

DETAILS

Main Surfaces: Our main concern was finding an ideal ratio between weight and durability, along with high mechanical stability and good results in stretch and tear tests. Our main surface fabric is a 210D Ripstop, with very low stretch, and a good rigidity to comfort ratio.

Leading Edge Dacron: Proven to be highly durable and dependable in other airsports applications, Dacron’s performance was thoroughly tested by team pilots before and during the RedBull Aces event, which was won by a Squirrel proto featuring this material.

Internal Ribs: All ribs are constructed from the renowned Porcher Skytex 40, which has an unparalleled stability-to-weight ratio.

Leading Edge Mylar: We offer two choices for wing surface Mylar reinforcement on your Squirrel Suit:

 • Porcher Sport (white / translucent). This is our standard option.
 • Dimension Polyant Carbon-Graphite (black / clear). The highest quality laminate on the market, with a carbon and graphite weave. It's black, and it's more rigid, but there is not a measurable performance difference over the Porcher mylar.
COLUGO 2 REVIEW

"This thing is so fast, so powerful, but so easy and intuitive to fly. I love it! The starts are very good as well, almost as good as the Aura. I feel super comfortable BASE jumping it, and it is super fun to skydive!"

"I am even more impressed with the C2. I feel it requires more muscle than the race proto I used at ACES, but also has more power and range, it’s a very fair tradeoff. I’ve been so intrigued by the C2 that the Funk has kinda taken a seat on the back burner, but I have plans for it soon."

"I love this suit. I can blast out and fly super hard and not be exhausted. Love carving clouds. Diving fast was where I felt the suit was at its best. I was absolutely hauling the mail, beelining for my target all while flying the smoothest yet. Laughing in my helmet it occurred to me why Andy won the RBA races. I did another fiver wringing it out the same. Additionally on the third, I did a super fast run to a solid looking crack and then pulled up pretty much as best as I know how... Two words, woo hoo!"

"Hello guys, I was finally able to do some serious jump to the suit. I have been jumping with 2 friends (with a ___ and a __) and the Colugo performance, especially in speed, is outstanding. The speed it starts flying and flying fast is simply amazing. It is super sensitive and you can turn so quickly and deep in case you need to, and the recovery is amazing. On the other hand, comparing the suit quality (not talking about the flight) with the others, the difference is even higher. The suit quality and its materials are 2 steps over the others, at the very least. Keep it going. "

"I did a couple of jumps on the Colugo 2 and I gotta say... It's fucking awesome! The fit is perfect and it feels super stable in all positions. This is exactly what I wanted for cloud carving and flocking with friends in big suits!"

"I've done 53 jumps in my Colugo 2 now and I love it. It was a really nice transition from the Swift to the Colugo 2. I've used the Colugo 2 for everything from big suit flocking to performance competitions, wingsuit rodeos, cloud carving and even some head down free-flying. I find it has amazing forward speed at the right angle of attack, but it has so much range that I can out float larger suits such as the A__, V___ P___ and R___2.

I used my Colugo 2 in the 2015 Australian Wingsuit Performance Race today and I got first place! It was awesome to see the Squirrel suits do well, Auras came 2nd and 3rd but they couldn't match the Colugo 2. Check out the leaderboard."

"I must admit I was very skeptical to begin with. Born with PF it was a bit hard for me to really go all in and try something new. Now I don't know how I could ever fly something else. At this point now I have 20-25 jumps on the suit. All skydives, so can't give you any base feedback at the moment.

On my first 2 jumps I went straight to it - I wanted to see if this suit really was so agile and fast as you guys say. And it was! Went straight out of the plain with a barrel roll - easy. Turned it on my back - easy. Tried to put in a bit of speed - holy shit, I almost lost my goggles.

After these first 2 jumps I went to Dubai to train with it, and fly with as many different people in as many different suits as possible. I quickly discovered how fast this suit is! The Vampire Race has no chance! The same goes for the S____. With just a bit of input this suit just hammers away.

It's like the range of the suit is never-ending. It was easy for me to follow a Phantom 2, and just as easy to fly with all the other big suits. So even though I'm collapsing my wings completely to keep up with the small suits, it's just as stable, precise, agile and easy to fly, as when I go all in on speed and performance. Simply, I'm just mindblown how it is possible to make such a big and fast suit, that is as easy to fly as my old Phantom, and also the same good acro performance (if not better!). I don't get it. I was pretty sure you had to compromise something to add something - but no! I will recommend this suit to anybody with a bit of ws experience and I will definitely be a squirrel fan from now on. "
